farewell dear friends

We end this semester with the last session of spqc being conducted by our dear friends the eternally young Rajesh ,his supportive friend jay and mayuresh being thrown somewhere in between.

This is not just the last quiz for this sem but also for rajesh and jay who have always been supportive usually turning up at all quizzes,according to our whims and fancies and converting our sometimes single digit audience into double digits.

SPQC in association with e cell presents a business quiz  this Thursday  in the SPIT seminar hall i.e. Room 008,ground floor.

The rules are simple:teams of 2 with an elimination and a final round.Also its free for members and non-members its 20 rupees .

Cash prizes of rs.400 for the winner and rs. 200 for the runner up to be won.

A Quiz by Genius

A 21 something average,unattractive lad who is a thorough pragmatist, compulsive rationalist, enthusiastic quizzer, knowledge whore and preferential perfectionist and goes by the name of Chinmay Kamat will be conducting the quiz this friday in FE Comps room no.101 at 5pm .
And be there on time because the quiz master is punctual and the quiz will start at sharp 5pm
and not I.S.T(Indian Standard Time)5pm.

A Wednesday!

So SPQC finally starts for this Academic Year. Or it already has – with a new, active bunch of students from the Second and Third year.  The next quizzing session will be held on A Wednesday, 7th September at 5 pm in FE Comps (Room no 101). The quizmaster for this week is Tall , Fatty  and your Shakti Gaurav .

Also, you will be looked at with a little more respect if you bring along some juniors with you.

After a long long break we return on Thursday 25 august but not at the usual place from this year quizzes will take place in room no. 101 (F.E. Comps).
Since the old place has been turned into microprocessor lab (Only God knows why).

After an agonisingly long break due to a spectrum of reasons, SPQC finally returns to normalcy this Thursday and leading the charge is our own ‘seasoned’ Quizmaster Tanush Singh Parihar. Going by past records and the long break, it only promises to be a cracker of a quiz.

A Very General Quiz.

The famed Sardar Patel Quiz Club (SPQC) returns to the fray with an array of Quizzes, to be held on all 3 days of our annual cultural festival, SPACE 2011.

The first of the lot is, as the name says, A Very General Quiz. Will be held on 10th March at 2:00 pm. Participation in teams of two.

So here’s why you should come for it:

1. Prizes worth Rs. 4000/- for the winners. (1st and 2nd teams)

2. Certificates for the Winners.

3. Certificates for the Final round Participants.

4. Prizes for the Audience.

5. A very enthralling, absorbing and competitive atmosphere where you actually learn some interesting facts.

6. No Registration fuss. Show in for the event 10 minutes before time, and that would be all.

And the main attraction remains:

This is a post lunch quizzing session. So pamper your drowsiness by either PARTICIPATING or SPECTATING any of the two rounds in an Air-Conditioned hall. Elimination AND/OR the Final round. Participating doesn’t cost anything, so you might as well pretend to do something constructive.

I repeat, Air-Conditioned Hall.

The only way you will be asked to leave the quiz event premises will be misbehaviour/ interference/ distraction to any of the participants.

The Quiz will consist of two rounds:

Round I -

An Eliminiation written round of 25 questions , which will have a blend of uncomplicated, undecorated and unelaborate questions.
( i.e Its going to be a nice easy and manageable quiz. Do come.)

Round II -

This round will consist of 6 teams being selected from Round I. Will consist of 40 Infinite Rebound and 1 LVC (Long Visual Connect). Will be explained in detail at the time of the event. Regular SPQC format. Some riveting and alluring questions await you, with stiff competition from fellow peer quizzers.
( i.e We are not going to give away money and certificates that easily. )

The Quiz will be hosted by the (not so) sensational Shekhar Sangwikar of SE Electrical along with the quirky Cinjal Shah of TE EXTC.

If you don’t attend our event we won’t attend yours. So do come, and spend your afternoon in a (literally) cool, and informative way.

Van for E-cell

We’ll be deviating a bit from our regular routine this thursday with the quiz being held in the SPIT seminar hall i.e. Room 008,ground floor.
The quiz is of the business type and will be conducted by Vanshaj ‘Hearthrob’ Handoo and Vibhav ‘Demat’ Gupta.
The rules are simple:teams of 2 with an elimination and a final round.
Loads of prizes to be won with E-cell sponsoring the brightest mind in the room for a summer internship program.
